It's official.
I'm all setup.
My Studio:
Some Beads...
The only problem....
(so far.)
My glasses.
Ooh la lah.
They are a necessity, otherwise I would never put something so hideous on my face!
I'm so vain.
However, I have a weird bean-shaped head.
Just ask my husband.
Due to a number of factors,
they're plastic and only minutely adjustable...
they're heavy as all-get-out...
my ears are apparently too close to my eyes...
these stupid things did not fit my face.
And
holding one's glasses
to one's face
is not very safe while playing with molten glass...
So I tried to improvise.
I tried taking the sides off and adding an elastic band...
like goggles!
Uh. yes.
But I don't sew very well.
Nobody show my Bmama,
she'll disown me for sure!
(if you think that's bad you should see me sew on a button!
knotty!)
Yikes!
I can make this sweet chili pepper bead out of glass,
but I can't sew for anything.
NO patience for a needle and thread.
Ah well.
It didn't work any way.
It pushed the "safety" part of my glasses into my face.
And.
It mussed up my hair.
See?
So, desperate as I was...
I went to an eye glasses place.
What's that called?
Anyway.
They basically laughed at me.
It was probably the way I said
dydimioum
dydimiunm
dyodyiminm
dydimium when I told them what kind of lenses they were.
NO HELP THERE.
However.... I improvised again.
If I can make a dang gingerbread birdcage...
I can make something that will work!
and so I did.
I went to CVS and bought a $10.99 pair of sunglasses,
popped the lenses out,
and glued my special lenses in.
Light as a feather and they stay on!
Don't Postpone Joy!
Sweet chili pepper!
