AND now........... hooping. :)

Sorry for the hiatus. I got lost but then found a hula hoop. Around the end of January of this year I found www.hoopnotica.com and completely fell head over heels. I bought a hoop and evidently forgot about everything else (including my blog.)



Then my sweet, patient husband helped me make some of my own hoops to give away to everyone around me.



I'm not perfect, but I'm working on learning new tricks and gaining some flow.

Auld Lang Syne

Yep. That's pretty much how fast 2008 went for me!

However I have such hopes for 2009.

I hope to get in shape.
I've heard my nephew say "You're always tired" too many times. He's right. I want to feel good in my own skin. I want to feel balanced, strong, and energetic.

I hope to pay off more debt and save more money.
It seems that it's always something in our financial life, but I can do better.

I hope to have children this year.
No pressure or anything. My grandmother who also lost her baby girl while six months pregnant, finally had my mom when she was 32. In a few weeks I'll be 32. After I lost Anna Grace in June of 2006, some people told me that in two or three years, I would have another child. I didn't want to wait three years. I remember thinking that I couldn't possible live three more years without a baby in my arms, and yet here it is almost three years.

Most of all,

I hope to live in the present.
Time seems to be flying by, and I know that it's made worse by my tendency to live for the future.... to forget about where I am now, and what I can do NOW. When I was younger, I would dream of my prom night (not so great), then I dreamt of my wedding day (flew by) then I dreamt of having a child. I'm not sure that I dream of anything right now, but I feel that I'm waiting on something to fill this emptiness within me. It's unfair of me to ask my child (when I do have a child) to fill me up. It's important that I become who I can be physically, mentally, and emotionally for the benefit of myself, my family, and my future......... but most of all for the here and now.

Evidently my niece wrote the gift tags for my sister. (um well, I guess she did. I hope she did.)

and what's up with the flat screen light bright! I was given a light bright for Christmas back in the day, but mine was honkin' big compared to this thing. However, I liked playing with it as much this time as I did last time. Which is to say .... not really at all.

Oh yea! My husband's mom and dad gave me the best Soundspa alarm clock with a projector and thermometer and this thing which tells time!

My dear husband wrapped up a present from my Thirsty cat. It even had a wad of cat hair in the tape. Nice touch, darling! It was a sticky roller! Nice. Thanks El Gatos!



my husbands wonderful grandfather got all the girls jewelry for Christmas. Here we all are oooohing over our goods.

Don't I just look filled with the Christmas spirit here? Wonder what I was talking about to my husband's paternal grandmother? She's so cute!


and a whole new meaning for red eye, er, orange M&M eye!
Here I'm saying "and this is how much chocolate I'll eat in the new year!" hmmm. Well, considering I've already eaten two fun size packs of peanut M&M's tonight and bought two bags of those delectable cherry Hershey Kisses today, and also not to forget the bag of mint M&M's because they were 50% off due to the fact they still were wearing their Christmas colors. Um. what was I saying?


What a mess. Not to worry. We left it for my Bmama (my grandmother, that is) to clean up because you know..... it was her birthday too! Doesn't the birthday girl who turns a wonderful and magical 89 years old 'er young on Christmas day (of all days) get to clean up the mess? (ya'll we didn't really leave the mess for her!)

I'm not kidding (no pun intended) but I was looking at your blog last week and looking at your wonderful Eli pictures thinking, I wonder if Eli will ever have siblings? Yay Siblings for ELI!
